You know that alluring bacon-y smell that greets you at the market each week? Then you know (and likely love) Pine Street Market. Rusty Bowers is the artisan butcher shop's owner, and is committed to using locally sourced, humanely grown, and pasture-raised meats free from growth hormones, preventative antibiotics, and steroids. Oh, and he makes everything delicious. Swing by his Avondale Estates shop on most Saturdays for hands-on butchering classes. In the meantime, check him out at the demo tent this Saturday and ask away about whole animal butchering and curing meats!
WonderRoot Creative Reuse Pop Up

WonderRoot Creative Reuse promotes artistic expression, environmental awareness, and community through the collection and redistribution of salvaged materials for creative reuse. Check them out at PRFM this week and get creative use materials for making your own Halloween costume (or that craft project you keep meaning to start) while saving the planet from items that might otherwise end up in a landfill!

A masterful market
This week at PRFM, get your garden on with the Central Fulton County Master Gardeners and the Georgia Daffodil Society sharing their expertise (and plants) all morning; buy your fall bulbs and start planting for a beautiful spring now! All that garden talk might make you hungry, so plan to stop by the Chef Demo at 10:00 a.m. with Chris Edwards of Holeman and Finch Public House. He'll show you how to make a delicious fall dish sure to bring comfort on cool nights ahead, turnip and mushroom gratin. Remember, fall hours are in effect (9:00 a.m. to Noon through December 19) and the Buy 7 contest is back!
