Chef Demo with Zeb Stevenson
of Livingston Restaurant + Bar
10:00 a.m. on 9/3
Chef Demos are sponsored by
Whole Foods Market
Chef Zeb Stevenson grew up in Indiana with a love for simple food rooted in a culture of gardening, canning and hunting. His appreciation for the many skilled hands that go into food production serves him well in his position as Executive Chef at Livingston, where he favors local and organic ingredients to create his contemporary American menu. Having come to Livingston from Spice Market Atlanta, Stevenson’s training with master chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten is evident in the international influences he brings to the table—the result? Innovative American dishes with modern, fresh flair. Looking for a little flair in your cooking? Stop by this Saturday’s demo for a few tips and a lot of taste.
Coming Soon
Field of Greens
Sunday, October 2
The sixth annual festival will be held at Whippoorwill Hollow Organic Farm (in Covington) from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on October 2. Festivities include the legendary Chef’s Tent, featuring 30 of the best farm to table chefs from Atlanta and Athens; Kid’s Village; live music from local bands; festival market; and craft demonstrations. Plus two new activities: “Meals from the Market,” where you’ll learn growing tips from local farmers and taste simple seasonal recipes; and the “F' n' Chef Competition,” which pits three local chefs against each other in an “Iron Chef” style battle (local food celebrity judges included). Tickets are $20 in advance (available at PRFM on 9/3, 9/10, and 10/1, or online at www.fieldofgreensfestival.com), $25 at the gate. Admission includes unlimited tastings from the Chef's Tent. Children 12 and under enter for free. Event proceeds benefit the local farming culture through Slow Food Atlanta, supporting Truly Living Well's Wheat Street Garden project.
